We at melophobe are constantly amazed at how wonderful it is to have friends in this world. As you may recall, we were disappointed to learn that there were no existing recordings of Wakey!Wakey!'s "Clinton St. Girl," a song performed at the Mercury Lounge concert. Don't remember? Reread our Wakey!Wakey! concert review!
It seems that the good people at the Family Records and maybe even Mike Grubbs himself heard our whining and lowing, because they've released a free download of Mike's concert at the Bowery Ballroom from just a couple weeks ago.
You can grab that track (as well as several other favorites) at the Family Records website.
Thanks to Lovely Lisa at Family Records for keeping us in the loop!
