Bell Orchestre
Fifty-word reviews
Borrow It
BO's sophomore album lacks their debut's propulsive sweep. Meandering horn lines and long string draws pry apart the gates of Heaven only to find angels slouched in ennui. A richly textured, ethereal canvas, yes, but one finds oneself listening to a soundtrack without visual imagery to contextualize the empyrean sounds.
Buy It
This “buy it” tag comes with a “Not For Everyone” disclaimer. These remixes of Bell Orchestre sound like your high school orchestra took a break from awkwardly making out with each other, dropped some acid, and just wailed on their instruments. If that sounds awesome to you, it will be.
