Texas Rose, The Thaw, and The Beasts
Buy ItCastanets are twin shells bound by rope meant for holding in the palm and clicking together rhythmically (like Indian hand cymbals). Castanets are also a band from Portland, Oregon who put such unusual instruments to good use. Imagine Folk-Americana revived with cosmic sound effects, lap steels, and Caribbean drums.
