These are fireside songs of a bleak tomorrow, melodies that skulk about like they've survived the apocalypse by hiding in the mountains. FoF play like a band of anarchists gathered for a common cause—scratching out this record. Though drawing on folk and Americana, they've created a distinctively different portraiture.
