Take the Kids Off Broadway

7.9 out of 10

Sounding very much the illegitimate offspring of Mick Jagger, Foxygen's Sam France delivers confidently ambiguous vocals, twice his age. Twinkling cymbal, lowly growling horns and declarative piano dance alongside him, making for a spectacular, pre-glam sensation of an album. One of the most accurate renovations of ‘60s psychedelia seen today.
