This is a forgettable album with ambitious intentions. An attempt at whirlwind, romanticized drama infused with percussion and synthesizer comes off more as an 8-bit Nintendo’s interpretation of the Braveheart soundtrack than as an existential journey. FOW’s latest is a fantasy driven, repetitious epic that falls short of enlightened instrumentation.
