Sleek production and some seriously catchy power pop can’t overcome the fact that the group’s ridiculous moniker is apparently bereft of irony. I Was Totally Destroying It sound like a band comically beholden to their own self-promotion, amped and ready to rock ‘n’ roll all the way to the top.
