My Fair, My Dark EP

Comprised of eight gentle washes of sound, Ida's EP succeeds in being compelling while offering only minimal movement. The title track proposes comforting, walking-through-the-woods-in-winter sonorities and concurs with subtle, soothing lyrics. Unconventional mixes of traditional and electronic instruments help make this little gem special.

Reminds us of Crooked Still (playing Sacred Harp music) | Shannon McArdle (at her duskiest) | George Winston's Autumn or December (in the best ways).
