Marvelann's sophomore album is a picture of melancholy—a pensive, abstracted landscape of moaning vocals and ethereal harmonies. Tempered by an extensive supporting cast including violin, accordion, and pedal steel, Bad Advice is a doleful dream that, assuming a high tolerance for brooding, may just pull you under.
