"Born Into a Light" and "Go Easy" are two of Adams' strongest tracks to date, returning to the alt-country sound that served him so well on 2005's masterful Jacksonville City Nights. Though not as cohesive as Jacksonville, Cardinology gets under your skin, and the superb Cardinals continue provide a textured backdrop for Adams' mournful tenor.
