Christmas-time in Motown hopefully looked a lot more cheery than the picture this compilation paints. Michael and Co. try spicing up tried and true holiday jingles with some R&B lovin’, but even classics like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer end up sounding forced, like Santa wasn’t coming to Detroit after all.
