Fanfarlo had both the fortunate and unenviable task of kicking off the major music at Bonnaroo 2010. Playing in The Other Tent, they were largely unopposed, drawing a crowd much larger than their short existence and relatively unknown name would predict. The young band from London made the most of the chance, mixing sweet harmonies reminiscent of Andrew Bird and Freelance Whales. It was the perfect way to ease into four straight days of music, and it convinced me to buy into the hype surrounding this easy-to-love group. Well played, chaps!
