It was a cool night with the Dead Trees at El Corazon, accompanied by a good sound and good people.

I'd never heard of the band before, so I was expecting a different sound: let's just say I was happy with what they offered. They had a nice, up-beat folk sound and a great stage presence. I really like seeing bands multi-task with different instruments. Their bass player had a maraca at one point, the guitar player went back and forth to his keyboard, and the drummer was singing back-up throughout parts of the show. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing them again when the time comes. I think you'd like it too, if you're into that kind of stuff.
