The Guantanamo School of Medicine played to a near sold out crowd at Neumos in promotion of their new album The Audacity of Hype. And while it's nearly impossible to to talk about Jello Biafra without mentioning the Dead Kennedys, I will say: Jello impressed by delivering a performance with the fierceness and passion one would expect from the ex-DK frontman. In between rabid oration on everything from health care to Afghanistan, Jello and the band, featuring Billy Gould of Faith No More, played with the power and conviction of artists that have helped define and create new, pivotal genres in music.
