[Our fearless team, Nicci Boots and Ian McNeil spent three days listening to an obscene amount of fantastic music above the stunning Columbia River Gorge in George, Washington. Check out all our coverage here, over 30 sets from a who's who list of indie music.]
Ween were, hands down, the perfect way to wrap up Sasquatch! 2010. They've still got talent up the wazoo, and all of their crowd-favorite songs were performed as wonderfully as ever. "Transdermal Celebration," "Your Party" and "Voodoo Lady" were delivered with perfection, and the Ween crew never faltered once. There was a hilarious moment when drummer Claude Coleman, Jr. started laughing during one of his vocal solos, but it just made the performance that much more entertaining.
The true icing on the cake was Ween's late show cover of Bowie's "Let's Dance," a song that brought pure happiness to everyone I could see. It was a fantastic way to say goodbye to the weekend that made everyone dance more than they probably have ever have. The band's performance truly was a blast, and it helped ease my sadness that this outstanding festival had finally come to a close.
