Pretty dern fantastic were it not Badu and the bar set superlatively high. Organic, sweetly domestic R&B feels like a letdown. Yet the throwback “Window Seat” and “Love” more than compensate, and thereafter the record grows like fungus in damp – insidious, ineradicable. The yin reprieve to Part One's full-bore yang.
