Lissie's soulful breakthrough Why You Runnin' demonstrated her faultless ethereal voice and ability to convey an innocent rustic wisdom. Unfortunately, this debut album falls remarkably short of such praise. Her collection of youtube-released folk-rock suffers from a crisis of overproduction, with everything else sounding more Avril Lavigne than Stevie Nicks.
