San Franciso’s Sleepy Sun faithfully conjures Bay Area psychedelic pioneers Blue Cheer on their latest batch of carefully tie-dyed, acid-soaked blues-rock. Imagine Fleet Foxes or Cat Power drenched in proto-metal haze, playing to a tribe of mystics in a stinking culvert somewhere underneath California—not bad, not bad at all.
