Canadian band Stars’ latest offering contains the sweet melancholy of past efforts, minus a sense of urgency. As usual there are lush arrangements and haunting lyrics, and the boy-girl harmonies remain quite lovely. Stars are adept at cinematic melodrama, but on the fourth go-round, have they become one-trick ponies?
