Alison Mosshart (Discount, The Kills) and Jack White keep the rowdy, gritty underground-classic-rock heart beating, albeit not as creatively as some of their contemporaries (Black Mountain perhaps). "Horehound's" first track, "60 Feet Tall" is defiant and sexy, but hardly compensates for the shortcomings of the rest of the album.
