Sasquatch 2011's line-up was announced earlier and I am 100 percent super excitably stoked that I am going to be living in Washington when it happens. As you can see from the poster above, on Memorial Day weekend bands such as Death Cab for Cutie, Smith Westerns, The Decemberists, Yeasayer, Local Natives, Ratatat, Robyn, and Modest Mouse will be performing. Tickets are available for 4-day passes on LiveNation for $285, but given the amount of bands you get to see for that amount of money, I'd say it evens out. Unless you hate all the bands that are playing. Then just don't go. If you can't read the poster, the list of bands is at the bottom of this post, right after tour dates for Mount Kimbie, Phosphorescent, Holy Ghost!, Ted Leo, Low and Katy Perry.
You may be wondering, why the hell would I want to know about Katy Perry tour dates? Well, you might if you wanted to see her opening acts: Robyn and Marina and the Diamonds. Also, all of the Holy Ghost! dates include Cut Copy, and Low will be joined by Explosions in the Sky for a few shows. Enjoy Low's latest, "Try to Sleep," above while you scope out dates below.
