Remember when we thought Erykah Badu was going to leak her new album? The much anticipated New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) hasn't exactly been leaked yet, but a couple tracks have managed to eek their way out to the public after premiering on Giles Peterson's BBC radio show.
When I first heard Badu's fourth studio album, New Amerykah Part One (4th World War), my mind was pretty blown. The album was a perfect blend of hip-hop, soul and funk, with beautifully crafted instrumentation and delicate, yet powerful vocals. I can't speak to the rest of the album as I haven't gotten an opportunity to listen to it yet, but these two tracks sound like we're set to expect more unique arrangement and smooth vocals from Badu.
