After rocking Coachella and a supporting tour with Sleigh Bells, the Brazilian dance-punk band are back with their third album, La Liberación. With names like "City Grrl," "Partners in Crime" and "Fuck Everything," the tracks featured on La Liberación are reported to be lyrically evolved, with some being more introspective. CSS' lead singer Lovefoxxx pulled from her own experiences for "City Grrl," saying in a press release:
I revisited my teenage years while living in the suburbs of my hometown. I'd be on the floor of my bedroom making the most ridiculous clothes and glue fake colored hair or x-ray pictures on clothes. I'd be sporting goth make up at 8am and when I hit the streets people would curse me from their cars in the most aggressive way. [Calling me] 'drag queen', 'whore.’
Well, regardless of what they called you honey, I'm sure when you're singing about it we'll all be dancing. The rest of the tracks are listed below for you to gander at while you wait for the album to drop on August 22.
