Bradford Cox, the lead singer of Deerhunter, must have felt the holiday spirit washing over him this weekend because he decided to post an unreleased Deerhunter album to his blog, free of charge. It's called Carve Your Initials Into the Walls Of The Night, it's from 2005 and if you can get over the super emo, "I cut to feel" title then download it HERE. Still want to know more? Here's what Bradford had to say about the album in his post:
"It features only me and Moses [Archuleta] and is very experimental in nature. This was during our 'tape phase' when we would often play shows as a duo (or as a trio with colin [Mee]) playing only tape machines and vocal loops ... Recorded live to 2-track cassette machine at Moses' old house on North Ave & Ponce. 'Mastered' at the Old Notown building on my dad's ancient PC using Soundforge."
Mighty generous to say the least.
