The first time I ever saw Death Cab For Cutie's documentary I cried. I cried and vowed I would see them live, and after missing out on dates and tickets, a boy I was seeing at the time shelled out the big bucks to a scalper on eBay so that the day before my senior homecoming, I got to see Death Cab live. And I cried.
I guess some bands just do that to you: make you a wellspring of emotion with infinite depths. They remind you of who you are, who you want to be or who you were in such delicate means that you can't help but feel a part of you open up that usually stays heavily locked away. So if you love Death Cab, you'll cry when you watch their episode of VH1 Storytellers, which has been broken up by songs below for you to see. If you don't love Death Cab, well then you can at least appreciate Ben Gibbard's aloof nature and how well the songs translate into live performances.
