Season's Greetings, lovelies! In festive celebration of the holidays I will be filling your week with wintertime presents I've gathered over the past month from artists all over. If you were lacking in Christmas music before, prepare to be inundated. There will be more sleigh bells than you can tolerate, and I don't mean the band.
So to start your week, I've found multiple artists who will/have released EPs, mixes and albums for Christmas, including Deer Tick, Banjo or Freakout and Gorillaz. Check out the deets below:
Deer Tick:
Holy Shit, It's Christmas! was popped out by Deer Tick as a two-song EP featuring original Christmas songs. "Christmas All Summer Long" and "Holy Shit, It's Christmas!" can be downloaded online for less than $2, or comes free with any Deer Tick purchase on Partisan Records. You can hear "Holy Shit, It's Christmas!" via soundcloud below:

Vandaveer
Offering two Christmas EPs for free is Vandaveer, with classics such as "Silver Bells," "Merry Christmas Baby" and "The Little Drummer Boy." Check out the download site here.
Banjo or Freakout
Also festively coming out is a free Christmas album from Banjo or Freakout, with more classics redone with twangy flair. Listen to the whole album right here!
jj
Releasing on Christmas Eve, jj's mixtape comes as a precursor to the gifts you'll find under your tree the next morning. Here's the video trailer as an auto-tune teaser featuring some Kanye lyrics:

AND NOW! [DRUM ROLL, PLEASE] GORILLAZ'S THE FALL!
The Fall has had news slowly trickle out about its release, availability and format. I take great pleasure in giving you all of this information at once, even in one whole sentence. The digital version comes out on December 25 with a physical release later in 2011, is speculated to be free to Sub Division fan club members, was written almost entirely on Damon Albarn's iPad during the Gorillaz North American tour, has a climactic advent calendar counting down its release and has had Albarn say this about it:
“I did it because there’s a lot of time that you just spend staring at walls essentially. And it was a fantastic way of doing it. I found working in the day, whether it’s in the hotel or in the venue, it was a brilliant way of keeping myself well.”
