We're big fans of Daytrotter at melophobe. Like, really big. With free downloads of unique live sessions from both established and up-and-coming musical acts, how could you not be a fan? Daytrotter not only covers our favorite artists (we've listened to the Walkmen's Leonard Cohen covers more times than we'd like to admit), but they also champion some well-deserving acts we thought only we knew about (see sessions from Pearly Gate Music and Pale Young Gentlemen).
Thus, we're thrilled that Daytrotter is bringing their 5th Barnstormer Tour to the East Coast, starting next Friday, August 26th. Performers include melophobe favorites Deer Tick and White Rabbits, and as we've witnessed time and time again, Deer Tick brings a party wherever they go.
We'll be hitting the Barnstormer Tour in North Hampton, NH, and we'll be sure to give you all the hay-tossing, beer-chugging details. Purchase your tickets here. And if you do so by tomorrow, 8/20, you get a free hand-screened poster and 40% off Daytrotter merch. Bonus!
