The Wombats

Why is this song not on the radio? It has all the right elements – moderately formulaic, catchy and clear lyrics, driving guitar riffs and a delicate melody – to push it onto those invisible airwaves. This is my first introduction to The Wombats, and I gladly shake their hand back while listening to their latest track, "Jump Into the Fog." So far no further details on an album it will find a home on, but sometimes no news leaves room for awesome news.

Though this song is about diving into the unknown, it reeks of optimism. There's no way you can go wrong with the high, twinkly melody weaving in and out of gleeful, bouncy guitar rhythm. "Jump Into the Fog" is great for when you're having a fantastic day and know all the words. So listen above and get cracking on getting those lyrics down pat. You'll need them for when you grab the track for keeps and start belting your heart out in the car.
