Good driving songs are hard to come by. Let alone ones that make your ribcage slide back and forth in a contented bee-bop that is best achieved when anchored to a seat. Andrew Goldman's Bob Dylan-esque lyrical rhythm and 4/4 time in "Staring Out the Window," deepened by heavy horns and steady guitar chords, induces a wanderlust only satiated by road trips on American highways. It's an excellent beat for an excellent mood, and even if your day started out shitty, you could throw it on while making your way home and feel a little bit better about the simple enjoyment of being in motion.
Drop everything, feel good, drive those lights into the night.
Andrew recently released his latest EP, 3 Songs, which can be found on his myspace or the new and improved Ping-y iTunes.
