Mister Heavenly

Their live performances may have been a little under-rated and focused too-highly on their touring bass player, Michael Cera, but they've proven their worth with two free singles to test drive. Born from Honus Honus and Nick Thorburn's love of doo-wop and doomed love songs, Mister Heavenly has created their own genre: doom-wop. . . . My brain automatically makes me want to turn that into dew mop. Anyway! Joined by Joe Plummer they signed to Sub Pop and put out "Mister Heavenly" and "Pineapple Girl" for free stream and download with use of your email. Check out the widget below.

Also if you happen to be in Chicago or New York City, they're playing Lincoln Hall tomorrow and the Bowery Ballroom on Sunday. From there let's hope they hunker down and start working on an album!

This player (topspin.net) didn’t survive.
