Girl Talk

Girl Talk caters to the masses while also giving you an opportunity to dance to songs you never thought you could shake your ass to. He is well-versed in sampling genres – primarily pop, rap, alternative and classic rock – into an ultimate stream of songs that would please anyone with attention deficit hyperactive disorder. Oh! I like this song! And this song! Wait, this song! On to the next song!

After two records and four years of intense dance party touring, Girl Talk is cranking out another collage album potentially by the end of the year. To go with this fresh material is most certainly a fresh set of tour dates. Pitchfork recently interviewed Gregg Gillis, the mind behind the mixing, and he said he has a distinctive approach to both the album and to playing shows live:

"Yeah, in the two years of preparing material for shows, I realized there are elements that are definitely going to work live, but might not be the most exciting thing to put on a record. And there's stuff that I really love but it falls flat live. Like, if you're going to drop a Supergrass sample versus a Van Halen sample, the Van Halen piece is going to win out at every show regardless of which works better musically or what's more interesting."

Sounds like he knows what he's talking about! Dance onstage with him in these fabulous cities:
