Check out the cheesy synthesizers on this one! At least it's accompanied by piano, a steady drum beat and the wavering voice of Conor Oberst. Off the upcoming release, The People's Key, "Shell Games" reveals the musical route Bright Eyes has set off on. You can hear the track via soundcloud and download it for the hefty price of an email below.
I also posted the tracklisting for you, as well as tour dates for Winter/Spring 2011. The tour dates are relatively set, but the tracklisting may be a bit of a surprise if you pre-order The People's Key off iTunes. And by surprise I mean an extra track titled "Singularity." What's even better though is if you buy the album off Saddle Creek, because they'll throw in another bonus track, "In the Real World." Take THAT, iTunes! Record labels prevail!
Either way, hear the track and mark your calendar for the album's release on February 15.
