Hot Chip

"Take It In" begins as an exercise in dark, laser like synth shots. A dance beat backed by ominous tones and early Nintendo influences. But suddenly, there is hope, a way out of the darkness, as an airy melody explodes into the track, as if one of those lasers cracked the shell and exposed the light. It's a great song and is the first track on One Life Stand, the new Hot Chip record that is coming out February 9th. I can't seem to find an mp3 of it, but if I do I will update this post and include it. For now, head on over to Pitchfork and listen to it. I suggest a loop of about 5-7 times.
