After winning an Oscar for his work on The Social Network, Trent Reznor teamed up with Where The Wild Things Are scorer Karen O to get cracking on the music for the American version of Stieg Larsson's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Riddling the intense trailer for the film with industrial thunder, Trent and Karen took Led Zeppelin's "The Immigrant Song" and transformed it into an entirely different entity. Seriously, if you didn't listen really hard to the lyrics, you could easily imagine this song as a thrashing, gripping animal ready to tear you apart.
I might go see the movie just to hear what else the two movie soundtrack veterans have cooked up. Plus the cinematography looks fantastic. Go for whatever reasons you fancy on December 21.
