Rock the Bells 2011 Tour

The 2011 Rock the Bells Tour starts this weekend in L.A., as the San Manuel Amphitheater, and we can't figure out how you'll have enough stamina to handle all this hip hop in one place. It's a dream to hear Ms. Lauryn Hill's The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Nas' Illmatic, Cypress Hill's Black Sunday, Mos Def & Talib Kweli are Black Star, Raekwon & Ghostface 's Only Built for Cuban Linx, Mobb Deep's The Infamous, and The GZA's Liquid Swords. Be sure to also catch strong sets by melophobe favorites Freddie Gibbs, and Macklemore to round out this amazing line up.

UPDATE: melophobe's above lineup recap is prescient in not highlighting DOOM as a performer at L.A.'s Rock the Bells show: DOOM has pulled out of the L.A. event. Guerilla Union’s Chang Weisberg notes, "We are deeply disappointed that DOOM will be unable to join us this Saturday at the Rock The Bells Festival kickoff. We are committed to working with DOOM and will not rest until we can bring his live performance to the Rock The Bells stage."
