After episodes on Yo Gabba Gabba and House, hip-hop MC Mos Def has plans to stick around for a few episodes during Dexter's sixth season. Purportedly playing an ex-con who found religion, Def will be joining the ranks of guest stars such as Colin Hanks and Julia Styles.
With five million viewers, Dexter is the most popular show on Showtime and was renewed for its sixth season the beginning of last December. Production will be starting this June, and the season premiere will be debuting this fall. No concerete news on how many episodes will feature Mos Def's character, but the word being used is "multiple."
To be frank, I hope Def doesn't end up like Ice Cube, who's strong presence on movies and television may have been why his recent performance at Soul'd Out was a little weak. Course, Def is much hotter, much younger and has a much different repertoire of film appearances. Can you tell I'm biased?
