Where would our days be without the ability to sneak peeks at and relish in fresh new music? They would probably be dull, empty and void of the melodious rhythm that can lead us into a state of euphoria and excitement. Though, this is just my highly romanticized outlook. Who knows, you might get along just fine without hearing NPR's First Listens of Fleet Foxes' Helplessness Blues and The Antlers' Burst Apart.
Or you might NOT! Listen to both albums in their entirety on NPR before Helplessness Blues drops May 3 and Burst Apart drops May 10.
Also check out You Ain't No Picasso's collection of eighteen cover songs performed by Fleet Foxes. The cover of "Two Headed Boy" can be heard above!
