Ticket Giveaways

That's right, ladies and gents. We, the most generous melophobe, are giving two people the chance to win a pair of tickets to two different shows this December. Part of Mike Thrasher Presents, these class acts have something for everyone. Check out specs on each show below:

THE GREENHORNES WITH HACIENDA
Jack White favs and containing members of the The Dead Weather and The Raconteurs, The Greenhornes offer up a classic rock 'n' roll experience. No computers, synthesizers or electronica bullshit. Just good ol' guitar/drum/bass combos rich with the style of our homeland. Tinged with a little folk to the trained ear, they may prompt you to holler "Freebird!" when they play Berbati's Pan on December 10 with Hacienda.

To enter to win a pair of tickets to this show, email danielle[dot]fowler[at]melophobe[dot]com with what kind of bird you would want to be and why, in honor of the track below, "The Sparrow." Your response can be as long or short as you like, just make sure you sign it with your real name.

This player (SoundCloud) didn’t survive.

THE GROUCH WITH BROTHER ALI, DJ SNUGGLES, ELIGH & LOS RAKAS
Course, if you're not into grandpas guitars, Wonder Ballroom will be dropping some beats for The Grouch and Brother Ali on December 11.

I personally always love an excuse to get low and hear some awesome wordplay. Here's to hoping you'll feel the same and send your name and what muppet you'd use for a rap moniker to danielle[dot]fowler[at]melophobe[dot]com. Course, I posted a track for The Grouch as well: listen to "Artsy" below.

Artsy by The Grouch

BOTH SUBMISSIONS ARE DUE WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 8. THE TWO WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED THURSDAY, DECEMBER 9.

Good luck!
