It must be weird for an artist to bring a decade old album out into the marketplace after it's been locked up for so long. I mean, can the vision that drove its conception still feel current and relevant to the artist or is it just a nostalgia trip for them? However he feels about the situation, Q-Tip seems to be making the most of the opportunity, enlisting hip-hop's best backing band, The Roots, for this performance of the Kamaal The Abstract track, "Barely In Love." At first glance, or perhaps due to the stacked lines of clapping people behind him, you'd almost think Tip was doing his impression of a Parliament show, but the focus quickly falls back to him and the soul kissed, jazzy number he took the time to sing. Check it out.
