Secret Cities

Have you heard of Secret Cities yet? Because if you haven't, you really need to go check them out. Right now. The three-piece band from Fargo, North Dakota is quietly taking the music world by storm, recently signing to Western Vinyl and garnering a "Band to Watch" mention from Stereogum.

Hype aside, it's the band's music that speaks volumes about their talent. There's sort of an otherworldly quality to their sound, layering in Antlers style vocals with electro-folk instrumentals. The whole thing is topped off with perfectly delicate details like quirky little whistles and a heart-pounding percussion section. Stereogum can be hit or miss on their bands to watch from time to time, but this is one that they've absolutely nailed.

The first single, "Pink Graffiti Pt. 1," is available for download below. Their debut full-length album Pink Graffiti is out 6/8 on Western Vinyl. Shortly after the release, the band will be embarking on a month long national tour. If their live shows are half as good as their music sounds then it's going to be a show you won't want to miss.
