Full of slick beats and soulful samples, Star Slinger's Rogue Cho Pa EP flung itself off of his Twitter and out into the ether for us to catch. Once caught it does feel a little like catching a star that's been falling through the universe at burning speeds. Each song flickers with the sparks of its multiple layers and even temporarily stuns with orgasmic moaning (see "Do It Myself"). But aside from a slight transfusion of arousal in one song, the rest capture the best parts of grooving in the oldies while making each track feel like it belongs in this era.
