The National

I don't know about you, but reading that headline has suddenly tainted my experience of The National's latest track, "Think You Can Wait." Now all I can envision in my head is pensive nighttime driving with the cut shots of headlights and swooping streetlights dictated by the sweetly ominous Sharon Van Etten, swift and elegant piano melodies, and brooding vocals. Course, in Tom McCarthy's Sundance-debuted drama Win Win, the song doesn't actually have a place coupled with the cinematography, and instead narrates the passing of end credits. Though before you think that sells this song short, keep in mind the scenario of a departing audience as you are left alone with inconsequential lists and the throbbing swells of this song. Feel a little romantic yet? Hear the song above and snag it for keeps below.

Also keep your ears open on April 18 if you take home the video game Portal 2, which The National wrote an original song for called "Exile Vilify." Spatial physics and indie rock, yeah!
