You know how cartoons love to portray sadness or frustration or down-on-your-luckitude as a little black rain cloud that follows your every step, pelting the top of your head with an icy drizzle? That's the main set-up for this Swell Season video for "Low Rising." But instead of one unlucky person in need of a good fireplace sit, there are two. From the eyes and postures of Glen and Markéta, you can see that these rain clouds are the signs of impending doom and frustration around their relationship, which broke up before or during the creation of their latest album. It's a video that manages to take a well-worn concept and make it seem interesting, though I'm sure it was a slog to film. And don't worry, they leave you with some hope. Check it out.
