Last month Okayplayer held a concert called Holiday Jammy in NYC, which was headlined by the Roots and featured guest spots from Mos Def and Brother Ali! Aren't holiday line ups the best? And because the Internet is a beautiful thing, you can find audio from those guest spots below. I assure you that they are worth your time.
The first song can be downloaded from us: It's a mix of Mos Def and the Roots performing "100% Dundee," "Umi Says," and "Adrenaline," though "Umi Says" is the one that takes center stage. Very soulful.
The second song you can download here: It's basically Brother Ali and the Roots performing Brother Ali tracks. Those being: "The Preachers," "The Travelers" and then some freestyles.
All and all, hip hop at its best.
