The only people that do 60's revival better than Jamie Lidell are Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings; but honestly, I'd rather listen to Jamie. Especially on songs like "Rope of Sand" that sound like leftovers from Talking Book-era Stevie Wonder. Very chill, very mellow, very contemplative, and the video is very true to how the song feels, as it features Jamie wandering around on the beach in reds and yellows. I think he's wrestling with the meaning of life or some other big existential conundrum. Good luck, buddy.
