What else we were talking about that week

When we interviewed Frankmusik this past spring, he told us, "Just being in the room with Andy [Bell] and Vince [Clarke] at 25 is incredible. They are the most genuine people, and they do music for the right reasons." With impressive success in the UK, Bell and Clarke asked Frankmusik to produce the forthcoming Erasure album,Tomorrow's World and to support part of their related tour. And yes, "being in the room" with Erasure seemed to inspire Frankmusik, as he played an opening set at the House of Blues, full of youthful energy. At times, the performance felt almost too youthful--I'm not sure a crowd with the average age of 35 could relate to "No I.D."--but Frankmusik and his drummer and keyboardist/vocalist did their best to respect the godfathers of electropop while introducing their new style.

While Frankmusik might fall on the opposite end of the cheesy/brilliant pop music continuum from, say, Chromeo or Francis and the Lights, when Erasure tells us to listen to something, we comply.
