There are so many levels to the vortex of cool that went down at Don Hill's last Saturday that it's hard to know where to start. First, there's Janka Nabay and the Bubu Gang, the world's first international Bubu group (use your Googles, I had to) whose rhythms and moves got everyone dancing like no one was watching. Then we have living hip hop legend Raheim (Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five) showing love and support for youngbloods Nine11Thesaurus, who were celebrating their upcoming release, Ground Zero Generals. Moving on to Skeletons; this "American entertainment unit" also has a record coming out, People, and had a hand in the production of Ground Zero Generals. It's worth noting here that GZG was made under the guidance of Representing NYC, a volunteer network of artists that focuses on youth development in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Finally, there's the venue, Don Hill's, club of infamous music promoter and nightlife icon Don Hill, who recently departed for rock and roll heaven (RIP). It was a pretty epic event. What else is there to say?
