The Temper Trap

The Temper Trap had the dubious distinction of providing the first disappointing set of my 2010 Bonnaroo. I wanted to like this band, but I just couldn't find it in my heart - the histrionics were too great for music which struck me as only slight above average. Lead singer Dougy Mandagi hammed it up, making faces, looking tortured, and employing tricks like standing on speakers and pouring water on drum sets. This band has some talent - I'm not disputing that - but I'm just not willing to dig through the undeserved flash to find it.
