On Far, Regina Spektor drags the wallflowers out onto the empty dance floor as she explores themes of social isolation and human connectivity amidst jaunty, rollicking piano and playful lyrics. Her disarming humor shatters any tension or awkwardness, and like the best jokes, it often contains a kernel of truth.
