After many fake posters that are still easily found on Google images, Coachella has announced their OFFICIAL line-up. The poster above gives you a sense of their priorities and of who the big dogs are this year. I squealed with glee at the sight of Death From Above 1979, Interpol, Animal Collective, Chromeo, Blood Beetroots, and Arcade Fire. I would've squealed for joy for Crystal Castles, put the poster says Crystal Castlest . . . so that makes me wonder. Are they playing a practical joke on me?
But in all seriousness – ha! – if you can't see all the bands in the poster scroll to the bottom to see an alphabetical list. First though, I have more tour news from Interpol, Warpaint, Mountain Goats, Zola Jesus and The Kills. Few of those bands will also be at Coachella but let's face it right now: not all of you are going to be able to shell out $295 plus travel and lodging. So as a consolation prize you will hopefully get to see them in your hometown instead.
The Mountain Goats also debuted their first single off All Eternal's Deck, "Damn These Vampires," which I have provided for you above and below. Yeah, not a death metal album.
